The Inn at Cranborne’s Head Chef leads a strong kitchen team who produce fresh and iconic pub food. Our menus depend on the availability of the freshest produce and change with the seasons.
We naturally use local ingredients where possible, supporting local growers and producers and ensuring the best produce, some of which is grown in our own kitchen garden at Higher Holwell Cottage. Day-boat landed fish from Dorset ports, locally grown salads, our own home-cured salmon, herb-fed free range Fluffetts Farm eggs and local cheeses are just examples of our fine produce.
We are open for breakfast, morning coffee and tea, lunch, dinner and privately booked functions. You are welcome to dine in the Village Bar, Snug or Inglenook Bar. Alternatively for larger groups, the Lamp Room can provide private intimate dining for up to 10 people.
We have a traditional pub bar with a range of local ales, quality lagers and an interesting and varied wine list. Beers are supplied by local breweries and we even have our own The Stag House Wines in Sauvignon, Rose and Merlot.
In the winter we have a huge open fire in the bar warming mulled wine and cider.
Our own cocktails include ‘Windsor Shoot Bellini’ using Kings Ginger charged with Prosecco or ‘The Inns’ Kir Royal’ using locally produced blackberry liqueur. We also make a mean ‘Bloody Mary’.
The kitchen keeps the bar well stocked with snacks available all day including our own, very delicious Pork Crackling.
We cater for small weddings and private hire. Give us a call on 01725 551 249 to find out more.
